Goals
My goal is to provide each student with a personalized, carefully sequenced plan of instruction that emphasizes complete musicianship including proper instrumental technique, musical literacy, and aural training. In addition, I help reinforce each student’s confidence and love of music with a caring and encouraging teaching style.
Philosophy
I believe that quality teaching should cater to each individual’s learning style. I motivate students through my love of teaching, reinforcing positivity and utilizing a variety of research-based and time tested teaching strategies. Each lesson should have several focal points – learning technique through scales and etudes, musical skills through solo repertoire, and additional instruction on aural skills which are critical for every musician, but especially string students.
